Chiropractic Care

The back cure that works.

At Manhattan Spine Rehabilitation (MSR) we place emphasis on nutrition, exercise programs, wellness, and lifestyle modifications for promoting physical and mental health. While chiropractors make no use of drugs or surgery, doctors of chiropractic do refer patients for medical care when those interventions are indicated.

In fact, at MSR, we work together as a specialized team to cure your pain.

We specialize as a medical doctor, physical therapist, massage therapist, and acupuncturist. Whatever pain or discomfort you may have, we can evaluate, diagnose and treat it, all within the comfort of our 2 convenient locations.

If your back hurts, we can fix it.

Physical Therapy/Manual Medicine

Get back your function back.

Our sports physiotherapist knows the body inside and out. They know how to help you get out of pain and back in action. Our therapists use a hands-on approach. They also know specialized treatments modalities. Here's a few definitions:

Manual (hands-on) Therapy: Consists of myofascial release techniques, stretching of restricted structures and specific strengthening of weak muscles, soft tissue and joint mobilization/ manipulation. They help restore your back, neck, or other painful areas to a youthful pain-free resilience.

Pain Management Modalities: Use of moist heat, cryotherapy, ultrasound, electrical muscle stimulation and massage.

Therapeutic Exercises: Customized for each condition including strengthening, stabilizing, and stretching restricted structures to restore normal pain-free range of motion. The exercises improve movement and proper muscle balance.

Postural Corrections: This addresses behavior modification, postural exercise, and self-awareness. We concentrate on correcting musculoskeletal derangements.

Home Management Program: A short and detailed home exercise program corresponding to the appropriate stage of condition, including the do’s and don’ts of self-management.

Gait Training: Injuries and or weakness often lead to heavier impact (usually, but not always) on the opposite side. Since the average human takes 10-15,000 steps each day, increasing the impact of one foot by a force of just 10 lbs (each step) can add up to a lot of extra stress being added to that leg (upwards of 75,000 lbs) every day. No wonder “bad” walking mechanics eventually lead to more injuries.

If you need therapy, we've got you covered.
